Alter/d designed and produced an instore brand experience for the Demi luxury jewellery brand Missoma in Selfridges. The key challenges of a luxury brand going in to a department store is to create a space that visually stands out whilst looking timeless all within the stores framework. We worked collaboratively with the brand to understand their personality and values allowing us to capture the spirit of Missoma.

The brief was to create an eye-catching brand experience that would take the consumer in to the heart of Missoma enhancing the emotional bond between the customer and the brand whilst also giving Missoma the space to display their vast range of jewellery.

Our approach was to focus on the warmth and approachability of the brand, we did this by focusing on forms and materials that had tactile qualities, we took inspiration form Mediterranean architecture in the hope that it would remind people of the joy they experience on holiday.

The key to the success of this project was to understand how the jewellery would look against the materials and forms chosen, we had to be sympathetic to the tones of the gold jewellery which is at the heart of the Missoma brand.
